This is just a reminder of our first Jazz Cabaret of our new season. Shakespeare had his own take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream but we have our own “Dream Team” of musicians to entertain you. The Pittsburgh region is blessed with many exceptional musicians. We have been able to attract the very best to our events.

We are looking forward to an evening of lyrical and melodic tunes in the jazz genre presented by Lisa Bleil and her merry band of musicians – Benny Benack, Jr., John Burgh, and Mike Houlis. It doesn’t get any better than that.

This evening of music is in keeping with our efforts to keep jazz as a viable entity of the arts and also provide monies for the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

Good afternoon Jazz Cabaret friends,

Summer is here – temps running in the 80s and 90s – so how about some “cool” jazz music to help you “chill out”? Remember, “Summertime and the living is easy”! Well, join us on August 15, 2018 at the Conley Resort’s Grandview Room and let the lyrical songs of Lisa Bleil and her trio make for an evening of easy living.

We are starting our fifth season of Jazz Cabaret. The concept of keeping jazz alive and well was the main object of our endeavor. Jazz is America’s indigenous art form. Our successful achievement of keeping jazz in the forefront is because of friends like you and our most generous sponsors. Without these two prime ingredients, jazz could essentially disappear. Thank you!!

Lisa Bleil and her trio represent some of the very best of our region’s jazz musicians. John Burgh, a brilliant keyboardist, Mike Houlis, another great bassist, and what more need be said than to say – Benny Benack, Jr. and his trumpet. This exceptional group of musicians will be led by one of Pittsburgh’s great vocalist – Lisa Bleil. Lisa is prominent in the Pittsburgh jazz and musical scene. She has performed in all genres – theatre, television, and teaching. She can be heard singing at clubs around the Pittsburgh area.

This promises to be another delightful evening for you – and remember, it is a benefit – ALL proceeds go to the Free Care Fund at St. Barnabas!
