Jazz Cabaret at Conley Resort – May 8, 2019

Good afternoon friends of our Jazz Cabaret,

Plans are going apace for the next Jazz Cabaret that will be held May 8, 2019 at the Conley Resort.  We are delighted to welcome back one of America’s great cabaret performers.  Dane Vannatter will grace our stage with his musical ensemble.  An ensemble made up of incomparable jazz musicians from our region – Daniel May on keyboard, Tony DePaolis on bass, and Thomas Wendt on drums.  The theme of the evening will be songs written by the distaff side of jazz composers.  The names of the female composers, lyricists and arrangers may not immediately jump out at you but their songs certainly will.  Songs such as “Pick Yourself Up”, “On the Sunny Side of the Street”, “Young at Heart”, “Willow Weep for Me”, “How High the Moon”, “The Way You Look Tonight”, “Here’s to Life”.  And, that is just a short list.  Dane will present many others that you will remember and enjoy.

This will be the final show of our fifth season.  We continue to grow our audience through “word of mouth”, publicity in the Butler Eagle, the Northern Connection magazine, and the numerous announcements on WZUM jazz radio stations AM and FM.  The e-blast you are reading  goes out to over 300 friends and jazz lovers.
