Good afternoon to friends of jazz and the Conley Resort Jazz Cabaret,
We start the new year with a touch of jazz from Broadway and a tinge of Valentine’s Day music. The interpretation of these songs will be brought to you by a vocalist familiar with stage, television, and night club presentations. Maura Minteer and her trio will present songs that have entertained audiences for years. Broadway has long been a source of popular jazz music. Maura’s background in theatre adds a dramatic extension to the program. Her musical director and husband, Jeff Lashway, adds another dimension with his years of being the principal pianist for the Maynard Ferguson big band ensemble. Tony DePaolis and Danny Glover will complete the trio with their musical virtuosity on the bass and drums.
Remember this is a benefit – all the money from ticket sales go to the St. Barnabas “Free Care Fund”. We rely on our sponsors entirely for the expenses of the musicians, food, lighting, etc.
