Jazz Cabaret at St. Barnabas – July 29, 2015

Hi dear friends of Jazz and those of good will who support the care and well being of the financially stressed at the St. Barnabas Nursing Homes. We are ready to start a new year of quarterly Jazz Cabarets in the Mt. Vernon Room on July 29, 2015.

We had a very successful first year with great jazz artists and were able to contribute four thousand dollars to the “Free Care Fund”.

The new season starts with Maura Minteer and her trio – Jeff Lashway on keyboard, Tony DePaolis on bass, and David Glover on drums. Maura has an extensive background in music, theatre, and television. She is drawn to the songs of the Great American Songbook – popular songs and jazz standards from the 20th century, once performed by Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney and Blossom Dearie, among others. Her trio have all appeared in local, regional, and national venues. Jeff and Tony appeared at our Jazz Cabarets last season.

Please join us for a summer evening of live jazz as it was presented in jazz clubs in my generation – cool sounds in a candlelit setting.
