Jazz Cabaret at St. Barnabas – November 5, 2014

The next Jazz Cabaret at St. Barnabas will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Kean Theatre annex – the Mt. Vernon Room – Washington Place, located at 5847 Meridian Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
The first show on July 30th with Donna Bailey was such a success that we are now asking that you RSVP via e-mail (e-mail address below) or via our website contact form.
Please get in touch early so you will be assured a seat.

The upcoming presentation promises to be an even bigger event than the last (falling as that one did during the peak vacation time, etc.). The formula is pretty much the same – great musicians singing and playing songs from the Great American Songbook that we all enjoy, free savory hors d’oeuvres and parking, and a cash bar. The time has shortened slightly – 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. All this for the reasonable fee of $12.50 per person, $25.00 per couple.

The presenting group is The Dane Vannatter Trio. Dane is an extraordinary performer, relatively new to Pittsburgh. He has had glowing reviews in the Boston Globe, the New York Post, and Back Stage. Carol Sloane, a renowned jazz vocalist on Concord Records, refers to Dane as “my favorite among new, young male singers”. His stage presence, warmth, and song interpretation are second to none. His accompanists, Max Leake and Tony DePaolis, are Pittsburghers and greatly sought after, playing with outstanding musical artists here and abroad.

In addition to having a great evening of music, you will also be contributing to the “Free Care Fund” which provides for patients at the St. Barnabas Nursing Homes who can no longer afford their care.

Come spend an evening with us in the old style ambiance-elegance of a jazz club – and know you are supporting a worthy cause by helping the less fortunate.
